It is very common to hear gamblers say that they will most definitely leave if they had won a certain sum of money. Yet, many times they had come by such winning and they did not leave but end up losing instead. There is nothing irrational about this.
Once all the money is lost there is no other option but the door. The emotional attachments of losing money plays an important role in determining the difficulty to walk away. There is usually a choice to leave with some extra cash at hand but gamblers opt to leave the casino with their pockets empty.
